Watchers

First of all, I am going to finish my Discarded entry if it kills me. And get through finals. Even if I don't go on to the next round, I'm determined to finish this one.

On to the bigger news:

I'm going to be in my first ever art show on May 27th. I got asked by a woman I used to have classes with if I knew anyone who did sculpture for this show featuring all kinds of media, including literature (because we're both English majors). I told her I did origami, and she said that'd be great, and bam, I am now in an art show. I'm bringing those dragons I did last year, the set in all different colors, and I'm making new ones as well. I'm also apparently allowed to sell them, if I like, so I have to figure if I do and what the prices would be. If I have time, I'd like to do at least one like I did Izra, with the words, so it's got the literature tie-in. I'm really excited about this.

Does anyone have suggestions for me? Just dragons, or do I branch out and do other monsters, or should I try smaller or larger models?

Might I make a topic request for a future episode of your vlog? I'd like to know more about CorruptCo and the how the space culture that the Ascension crew live in works. You've only given us a sliver of their world, and most of that was portal abduction, will-reading and... Soifra.

Indeed. It just kind of happened spur-of-the-moment.

WHAT!? You think that just because we get along, have extended conversations and are interested in eachother's art that you can be my friend?

The audacity! The assumptions! The nerve of some--Okay! :3

But now I wanna do an art trade with you, that is, if you're not too busy for it. You up for a trade? Do you do trades?

Yes, I do art trades. I'm a bit backlogged on stuff and finals are approaching, but I'd be happy to do a trade with you.

Well if you're pressed for time we could skip it, or just do something small like sketches. I have a character named Pezzio that I'm particularly interested in seeing other people draw. [link] [link] The thing to know about him is that his eyes rarely show and he's always got his cat with him. :3

I'd love to see your take on his character!

What would you like me to draw for you?

No, not so busy that I'll skip it. I am just worried I might take a while to do it. I'd be happy to have a go at Pezzio for you.
I'm rather partial to Phena, [link] (outdated ref, whee!), [link] :thumb193151458: (come to think of it, I haven't posted anything with her in a long time and will add that to my list of art that needs doing.) That bit of hair is always in her face, and you can dress her as you please, either in one of the uniforms or in something else.

I recently discovered the sci-fi works of Philip K Dick, and I must say he's quite good. It is only a pity that one cannot really apply your Ascension naming convention to him...

Oh wow, it's been forever since I read any Philip K Dick. To the point where I can't recall if I enjoyed it or not. Now my "To Read" list has expanded again.
