Discarded Audition pg 1

So, page one of this audition.
A bit of explanation, but not much:
1.) The City of Notonamap is where Jeanne used to live, and most of the comics (the half-done, never finished ones, mostly) began with a similar label in the first panel. G.C. lived outside the city, in the grassy area Jeanne is currently walking through. Instead of falling into disrepair, I tried to make it look like the city was reverting to older and less careful versions of itself until it faded completely, as it did on the left part of the panel.

2.) Jack knows things because I thought it would be fun for him to know them. Being good at villainy, I expect him to know a bit about everyone and to never tell how he knows. Also, his hat gets progressively worse each time it appears and I'm not sure why it was giving me so much trouble, but there we have it.

Also, my backgrounds make no sense. The city appears to be creeping forward in that last panel, oh dear.
