Fantasmic ATC

So last summer, Disneyland was supposed to have this great big glorious new dragon for the FANTASMIC! Show. That didn't happen. The company they hired to build it used the wrong specs (which seems to be a common problem for them lately) and they ended up having no dragon all summer. This picture has a related history.

The night that the dragon was supposed to make its appearance, the people working guest control for the parade were laughing about the lack of a dragon and all the people waiting for hours to see it not show up. I was part of that. I also started drawing this lovely thing that night. And then I kept putting the little drawing aside, never finishing it. Last night I happened to sit down and finish coloring it.

The lighting is wrong, I know that. I had no idea there was a sunset when I started drawing it, but I didn't want the dragon to fade into the background. I'm really happy with this one.
